Position: Early Childhood Educator (ECE)
Type: Full-time / Part-time
Location: Sitka Spruce Daycare, Courtenay, BC
About the Role
Guided by the BC Early Learning Framework, you will create an inclusive, nurturing environment that supports children’s well-being and confidence. You will plan play-based learning experiences that encourage creativity, communication, and social development while maintaining a safe classroom.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and lead play-based learning experiences
- Support social, emotional, and language development
- Encourage independence, cooperation, and confidence
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment
Qualifications
- Valid BC ECE License to Practice
- Experience in play-based learning environments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Current First Aid & CPR Certification
Early Childhood Educator Assistant
Position: Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA)
Type: Full-time / Part-time
Location: Sitka Spruce Daycare, Courtenay, BC
About the Role
Working alongside the Early Childhood Educator, you will help create a warm and supportive environment where children feel safe, respected, and valued. You will assist with daily routines, classroom activities, and supervision while helping children build confidence, social skills, and positive relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily classroom routines and transitions
- Support children during play, meals, and rest periods
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
- Encourage positive behavior and social interaction
Qualifications
- Valid ECEA Certificate or eligibility to work in BC
- Genuine interest in working with young children
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Current First Aid & CPR Certification
